Does anyone have any imput about NET calories and just logging regular calories? I have heard that you need to log NET calories burned for a more accurate count against what you eat and that NET calories are what you actually burn (because you need to subtract what your body would burn just doing the exercise itself). I am really confused and want to make sure I am counting correctly

Net simply means "actual". Like.......when you get paid, your gross pay is what you get paid but your net pay is what you ACTUALLY bring home after taxes get taken out.
Net calories is the same idea.....you may eat 1600 calories a day, but if you walked 3 miles and burned 100 calories a mile, your net calories are 1300.......the ACTUAL amount that stayed in your body that you did not burn off. The net calories are what you actually "take home" after exercise is taken out.
You don't need to count calories differently, you just need to pay attention to what you put in versus what you burn off in order to make sure your net calories are in a healthy range.0
