Totally a time consuming random type thread, but I've seen several threads and posts about the things that bother people when they're at the gym.
What are the things you like or LOVE about being in the gym?
I'll go...I love lifting to fatigue, watching the cal counter go up when doing cardio....and yoga pants . I know that's very creeper like, but yoga pants are part of the reason I'm in good shape! lol!

This is a little rude on my end, but...
I love it when the little highschool girls come creep on my machine and try to out-do the fat girl. They go a million RPM a minute and leave pissed off and out of breath within five minutes-- and I'm still going strong at level 17-20.
It's called the resistance button-- use it, chikas.0 -
Knowing that after I sweat my life out on the treadmill/stairmaster/weights/yoga studio I get to lay down in the wonderful amazingness that is the steam room.0

Seeing other motivated people work out.
The feeling I have when I've completed a hard workout
If I have a question there is usually someone there I can ask.0 -

This should be on my list too. There are several people at my gym that have made life changing transformations since I've known them. Really really cool seeing people working towards their goals.0 -
1. The time I'm taking for myself.
2. Learning a new workout or a way to improve.
3. Breaking a personal best record.
I can't wait to go tonight. Been off for a week trying to rest an injury.0 -

LOL!
Some days I can completely agree0 -
1. The energy because you know everyone there has beat the odds just by getting up and going...
2. The sweat that pours off me knowing that I have kicked some Cardio butt
3. Seeing hands-on progress of people that faithfully come
4. When I do an exercise I promise in the mirror I feel smaller....lol
5. Since being on the wall of progress....Love when people come up and ask is that me...It gets me all bubbly inside to talk about it and pass on the excitement for this lifestyle to encourage someone else hands on......
I LOVE THE GYM!0 -
Watching them calories burn and planning/dreaming how I'm going to eat them.
I love bicycle rides. I did 41 miles in the cold rain yesterday, mostly to train for the Trek Across Maine, but also because I knew the three hours it took would buy me 3,000 delicious calories. I never did manage to eat all of them.
Earned exercise calories taste the BEST!!!!0 -
I've never been in one. Guess I miss out.0

Yeah... maybe, but you have a sweet bike to make up for it. lol *Jealous*0 -
When I'm in the gym, I am stress free! As I'm lifting and pressing, I think to myself, " IT'S ME AGAINST MYSELF"

I love watching all the other guys weight lifting. It motivates me to do more and to want to lift heavier.
Spending time with my hubs at the gym and having him there to spot me. We are completely focused when we are there but sometimes its nice to look across the weight room and smile at each other. :blushing:
Seeing women that are super fit and cut from lifting. They motivate me to want to work harder.0 -

the clothes, for sure. and sneakers to match, and a bandana. and a cool water bottle. and a gym bag ...
it's all good !!!0 -
Im a lady with a bf and straight, but im going to have to say yoga pants too! When a really fit girl is confidently wearing them and a cuts shirt, i think to myself: Damn she looks good, someday that will be me!
I also love that the gym gets me out of the house and that if i drive all the way there, now I have to work out... No escape! Lol0 -
I am a bit of an introvert so I love taking classes at the gym. That is where I have met some of my longest friendships. Then it makes it easier to get there knowing I am going to see friends.0

most def having every piece of equip at your fingertips. i have weight bench at home thats collecting dust bc i hate changing the weights. i like to zip thru my workout - get done - and get in the steam room. #bliss0
-
nice sweaty arm muscles (although my new bf has the most delicious ones and love perving him while he's playing flag football... mmmmmmmmmm)
the classes i attend (zumba and step)
being the only chick in the weight room :smokin:0 -
Cardio bunnies. They look good and are not in my way.0

arm muscles on my fav eye candies
The gym is "my" time, whether I bust my butt or not, depending on my mood, it's my definite me time! And did I mention the eye candy?0 -
I love the gym-it is truly my happy time from lifting to spinning to zumba and I love watching myself lift weights and seeing how strong I am (how narcissitic does THAT sound?!?!) but lately it's watching the little old lady who is no bigger than my pinky lift these incredible weights-geez! Seriously, she's 85 years old! I want to be her when I grow up and I told her that. She did say she prefers her aerobic classes but knows she needs to do weights. Dang. (also, incredibly fit guys don't hurt either!)0
-
i love those cut-away shirts, lol. also when guys squat or deadlift.0
-
i often go to a work gym alone, but i also go to a planet fitness, and when I am there, I like when i catch people trying to look without getting caught. And then, later on, watch them copy what I am doing. I don't correct people in the gym, It's not my job, but I will on occasion be near somone, and properly execute whatever it is they are trying to do. So when that sideways suggestion takes hold, It is a good feeling. And at PF, there are tons of people doing god know's what in that weight area...............0
-
people kind enough to accept that i was on that equipment first instead of arguing as though they are entitled to it because i went to get some water.0

Us cardio bunnies really enjoy the guys who are picking stuff up and putting it back down! You look great and aren't taking up an elliptical or treadmill that I want!0
