tofu skins
Anybody have any ideas of recipes with tofu skins? Have some in my freezer (mistake at market) and not sure what to do with them. Can you stuff and roll them like a springroll and bake (as opposed to fry) them do you think?
I am open to any ideas.

Well, zero response, but I've heard talking to yourself has cognitive benefits...so I will post what I did in case anybody else ends up with an excess of Tofu Skin in their freezer.
saute veggies (I did portabello, carrot, onion and garlic, but next time I would add cabbage too).
add spices (chili, sesame, soy sauce)
wrap them up like a spring roll (you may need to cut up the tofu skin, it came in a big sheet)
One recipe I saw said to brush with olive oil, but I think you could skip or go really light on this.
bake at 400F until brown and crispy.
It was really quite delicious. Very crispy shell. Fast and simple to cook.0 -
Thanks for that. I love egg rolls and was looking for a way to do them more heathly.0
