Do you earn extra calories by exercising?

I'm confused-
Are you supposed to stick to the 1200 calorie rule even if you are exercising? When I log my activity it gives me extra calories for working out but it seems like I would be eating more than I should if I'm trying to lose weight. I don't want to eat too FEW calories because I know that's not good either. Help!

Yeah you are supposed to eat your workout calories back0

MFP has already factored in a 500 cal deficit, so if you exercise and not eat those cals back you will make the deficit bigger which is not good. The more you exercise the more you can eat.
Go to MY HOME tab then GOALS and look at the deficit MFP has you at.0 -
Okay, thanks for clearing that up!0

Just be sure you're confident with the extra calorie estimations. MFP, and the various exercise machines are usually wrong.0

I don't eat mine, but then again I don't go by the calories MFP gave me, I overrode theirs and set my own.0

Yes..eat those calories, or at least some of them. Its better for you, and how the MFP system is set up...and it works.0
