Can't Exercise, Can't Stop Eating!

I recently was diagnosed with tendonitis in my left shoulder. I start physical therapy on Wednesday. Until then, the orthopedist told me not to work out at all. He said the physical therapists would tell me what exercises are safe and which ones aren't. He won't even let me do cardio because I aggravated the injury jogging. Just the back and forth swinging completely threw my shoulder off!
That was Tuesday of last week. Since then, I feel like a complete sloth. I've been exercising regularly for so long that I really enjoy it, and I hate the sedate feeling that comes with this "break".
To make matters worse, the exercise helped keep my food cravings at bay. Now, it's so hard for me to stop snacking!!
Anyone had anything like this happen to them? What do I do?
