I know heart rate monitors are not intended for prolonged wear, but what if you're doing A LOT of walking- such as in place of transit to get around while on vacation?

I would wear it if it was a long walk, otherwise no. Not really worth the prolonged use time.0

I dunno, I sort of follow Fitocracy on this. Activity that is intentionally done to promote fitness/weight loss. I wouldn't really bother with a HRM.0

Rather than wearing the HRM all day while walking everywhere, I think I would up my activity level in my settings during that time, and let MFP adjust the daily calories to match that. Then I'd change it back to my regular activity level when I got home.0
