Wow, u eat way healthier than I think I ever could. I've heard a lot of good things about Trader Joes but I've never shopped there. We just can't afford to shop there. One day if we can afford it I would like to try it out. I have heard that the pizza dough is really good. I'm very proud (and a bit jealous:) ) of ur good eating habits!

I live in SF Bay Area, and our Trader Joe's is less expensive than the local Safeway and Lucky stores on many items. You should definitely go see if it will work for you.

I'm not going to even list off all of the crap I buy from there (seriously, IT IS RIDICULOUS), but have you tried the Cookie Butter? Holy crap. I was in MA this weekend, and my sister-in-law had some. Thank God they don't carry it in Maine.

Mango lassis? I haven't seen these at TJs!

    My list:
Dried Tart Cherries (these will absolutely kill a sour patch kid craving)
Chocolate Bars (even though I am a dessert o-holic, I can safely have chocolate bars at home and not over-induldge)
    Dark Chocolate Nibs
reduced fat sharp cheddar (I absolutely 100% hate lowfat cheese. Except this one is exceptional, and melts well in a grilled cheese)
    frozen salmon or arctic char
    frozen fruit for smoothies
    frozen potstickers
    salad in a bag
    12 grain crackers
And if I don't have time to make lunch: eggplant wrap with spicy tahini, vietnames noodle salad, thai pasa salad, chicken mango pasta salad

I do 95% of my food shopping at TJ's LOVE IT!
I also used to work there through college so got to know a lot of the products really well.

    Here's my typical list lately:

-microwaveable veggies, especially asparagus (yes, I could make my own but when I'm busy these are so conveneient)
    -Asian Veggie Stir Fry mix
-Asparagus saute (I'm really digging asparagus these days LOL)
-Just a handful of Almonds, or Just a Handful of Omega Trek Mix
-Stock up on greek yogurt and frozen fruit
    -Frozen boneless chicken breast meat
    -String Cheese (low-fat)
    -Sliced turkey meat
-all of their supplements, vitamins, and protein powders are a great deal
    -fresh cajun salmon
    -smoked salmon
-prepared salds to bring to work for lunch
-seaweed snacks (only 60 calories for a big serving!)

Before I was watching what I eat I would pick way more junky stuff but that's a whole other list. For now I love eating healthy as long as I got my TJs!!

You should go in and take a look!! Until hubby and I went there, I thought it was really pricey too...but ours is pretty much the same as all our other grocery stores around here, they just LOOK pricey!!

The Orange Chicken (their number one bestseller) is absolutely FREAKIN'MAZING!

I just made a trip to Bellingham (from BC) this weekend. I decided not to deal with perishables but still came home with two full bags of deliciousness. With our dollar being damn near par it was a fun, cheap shopping trip!

My all time TJs faves: flattened bananas and the crunchy almond butter with roasted flax seeds.

New fave: marcona almonds with rosemary. i wish I'd bought 10 bags!

Just started shopping there in the last few months, but every time I find something new. They have Edamame crackers that make a great dipper for their hummus. And I am in love with their whole wheat middle eastern flatbread. It's a great store!

Tks to the people who r saying to check out TJ, that they are not expensive. We will have to check it out. It will be nice to get some new food options.

My friend hoards their coconut oil because it's so popular that it's often out of stock! The price on it there is quite a bit lower than anywhere else around here.

We love their sunbutter for our peanut-allergic kid. It's also considerably cheaper there than elsewhere.

I stock up on things like dried fruit and nuts there as well as sometimes get my milk at TJ's. The banana vanilla yogurt is a splurge but my kids love it. Ok I love it too. ;)

They have both regular and whole wheat pizza dough too and it's like $1 per bag. It's so much easier than making my own dough. We get their sparkling water often and occasionally some produce there. I love their plant section... great little plants and flowers for gifts at a very reasonable price.

    Love Trader Joes!

hawaiian bagels, chicken walnut salad, soy and flax seed chips and pineapple salsa....i guess these are not totally low fat but they make a good dinner and my kids love it when I go to TJs and bring this home for the night.
