Hi MFPers! Anyone out there want to...
* trade diet/nutrition advice (how to satisfy yourself with smaller portions/fight the sweet tooth)?
* support each other in strength training?
* swap workout soundtracks?
I'm an active person but have watched my weight climb up steadily as my diet habits worsened and I slacked off completely on weight training. Working in Afghanistan this past year, I gained a whopping 12 pounds due to stress, inactivity, and poor nutrition from our dining facility food and office snacking. Going from an active lifestyle to a two-minute commute and twelve-hour-a-day desk job, I cringed as I watched my lovely muscles flatten out into flab. I've already lost 5 pounds on MFP, but I'm trying to drop the last 7 in 7 weeks before I head home to my beloved wardrobe. More importantly, I want to reach my lifelong goal of doing a pull-up before I have to start pulling myself over some serious obstacles.
Also, I lead a spin class 3 times a week (how I miss my bicycle!) and am ALWAYS looking for fresh, good song suggestions to sweat to. Hit me up!
