No weight loss

After reading the forums last about BMR and TDEE I increased my calories per day. I did not lose any weight last week, which is very discouraging. Should I decrease my calories back to 1200.00 BTW, my BMR is 1549.

    you went up to 1600 or something ?

    No. I eat no more or less than my BMR.

    What is your TDEE? Are you Active?

    Weight loss is not linear, you cant expect a loss every week...t that is a bad mind set to get trapped into. There are a whole whack of reasons why you may not have lost weight. The fact that you did not gain or gain a few pounds is great in itself

    When upping cals, it should be done gradually by 200-300 cals daily per week (until you get to your TDEE. Gives your body some adjustment time. Are you measuring/weighing everything?

    When i upped mine, I did so gradually, the first week I stayed the same, the third week I gained, and today have lost 5 lbs since upping them a month ago.

    Not sure what your stats are, etc. but don't sweat it, jus keep up the good work!

    I think it's normal to either stay the same or gain after upping your calories. Apart form anything else, you have more food in your system. Give it a few weeks and you should start losing again. This might help a bit:

    Thank you all so much. I have never been this serious about losing weight and getting healthy. I have been measuring everything I eat and I also drink 12 to 16 cups of water a day. The information you all gave me is wondeful and I really appreciate the motivation adn support. Thanks again.
