If I posted an add on craigslist looking for a trainer?

I can't afford much. I really just wanna find someone that can go to the gym with me a few times and show me some weights. I know nothing about weights. I do the circuit training at my gym, and use the machines that are already set up for you.

Have you already tried asking the people who work at your gym? I know at Planet Fitness, the staff can act as trainers in the way you describe (low-key sessions to show you how things work), which would save you the cash of Craigslist hunting. Other gyms might be similar.
