mixing it up

I've been on here for over a month. I started dieting & exercising in February.
I fluctuate a lot with exercise due to recent cardiac problems.
I restrict my calories a lot. I typically eat between 900-1100 calories a day.
Carbs are my down-fall. I get bored eating the same stuff all the time so I try to mix it up a bit. I was hoping I would lose way more inches by now. I need a good exercise for whittling hips.
I might add that a life-changing event helped me to stop smoking & drinking. I'm thinking I initially lost weight due to just behaving in a healthier manner. I'm ready to kick it up a notch & lose some inches too.

hip drops are great ... and side planks arm on the ground one in the air leg on the ground and lifting the leg that's not supporting you up at an angle and then back to resting position .. try to hold the position for a minute even if you can move your legs yet .. make sure to rotate to the other side .. hip drops ( place your forearms on the ground like an army crawl.. legs extended be hind you resting on your toes .. tighten your core and tuck one hip in and drop .. count of ten , then the other side do three reps.. :)
