will I always be sore after I work out

I've been working out now for some time, I mix it up, doing mostly cardio with a bit of strength thrown in here and there. My worry is I am STILL just as sore after a workout as I was when I was 300 lbs. Will this ever stop? Comes the end of the day and I don't want to move due to the pain in my legs and my back mostly.
I take ibuprofen to help but sometimes I don't like taking meds.
Any ideas folks?

i'm not to sure about soreness after long cardio sessions, but i know for a fact that if you start doing weight training regularly (rather than "here and there"), your soreness will lessen, and possibly go away altogether.0

I've often wanted to start something like that but have NO idea what to do and really the people at the gym are no help0

The best advice i have for you is to watch tons of youtube videos on lifting form to learn at least the big three (squats, bench press, and deadlift). seriously, spend a few weeks just studying them before you start. another place you can go to check out lifts is http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html . I firmly stand by the belief that you don't need a trainer to get you started, at most just a gym buddy who is capable of checking your form.0

I agree with the above once you get use to the weight training you may have some soreness here and there when you up the weights/intensity but not as bad as the first few weeks. As for cardio I'm sometimes sore/weak right afterwards but it wears off quickly. Good luck0

Make sure you're drinking lots of water -- that made a big difference for me. Now even if I'm really sore I go for extra water instead of the Ibuprofen. Keep it up and it will level out. When I stop getting at least a little sore I know it means I need to add more weight!0

When I'm sore after a good weight session, I drink water and keep moving. Ride my bike or long walk. It helps me recover faster if I just get moving.0

If the people who run your gym are no help, perhaps you need a different one. Is that an option?
Also make sure you warm up before each work out, cool down after, and stretch after as well. That will help stretch out those hard worked muscles so they won't be as sore.

An important thing to cut out, is All Diet Sodas, "Nutra Sweet", "Equal" and "Spoonful" products. ASPARTAME is a dangerous cemical added to products to make them sweet without the sugar. It can cause symptoms of tinnitus and fibromyalgia, spasms, shooting pains, numbness in you legs, cramps, vertigo, dizziness, headaches and joint pain. When I first started my weightloss workouts I drank Diet Dr. Peppers and Pepsi Max through out the day, I hurt all over!! I was so sore and I wanted to stop. A friend sent me an email about Aspartame Poisoning so I stopped drinking and eating products with it in them. I feel so much better!!! My work outs feel better I feel myself getting stronger and not in a painful way. The hurt is a good feeling. The soreness is so much better. Try it too. Good Luck.
PS: "Spenda" is not involved. It is fructose, a sugar.0
