  • I had a lunch meeting at PF Changs and was concerned about what to eat figuring everything would be just off the hook. I knew I was going so I had fruit for breakfast. I looked up PF Changs on my food tracker and the menu came up. Most of the items were not calorie concious but there was stuff to choose from. I elected to go with Mushu Pork which is one of my favorite items. I skipped the pancake part of it and just ate it out of the bowl. 15oz portion was only 430 calories. It was delicious and did not kill my calories for the day. Good luck.

Depends on where you are going. Wonton soup is usually a good choice. Steamed anything should work as well. Avoid breaded and sauced options. I like steamed shrimp and veggies with garlic sauce (soy sauce with lots of garlic, basically). Have them put the sauce on the side, if you have that option.

Shoot for lettuce wraps if they're on the menu.

Avoid anything deep fried and saucy. I also get Moshu Tofu when I go and just not eat the pancake.

And ask if they can swap steamed veggies for any rice.

I love the stuff, and I just cut my calories for a day before and after, and exercise more, so I can just relax and enjoy!

Steamed meat, like shrimp or boiled chicken and veggies is the way to go. Soy sauce contains a lot ot sodium! If you need the sauce, get it on the side. Good luck!

Chinese food is one of my weaknesses, and if I am going to eat it, I am going to enjoy it....I plan ahead of time, make sure that I can squeeze in a workout, or do an extra long one the day before or after....I still get the things I love, this includes crab rangoon, i just eat one instead of 3. i do usually avoid the other fried entrees (see ya general's chicken) but what I also do is ask for an extra serving of the broccoli or steamed vegetables, that way I can fill up on those while still getting a little bit of the good stuff too. For me the most important thing to remember is water, water, water, chinese food is such high sodium, i drink it all day the day I am planning it, and the next day (more than usual) and that seems to help, I used to never in the past drink water and wondered why Chinese made me feel so blah:)

Most Chinese restaurants have seafood and vegetarian options which should be fine. My local Chinese restaurant also has the option of getting brown rice also. I would go with chicken but I would ask if it is white meat. Broccoli Chicken is a good choice. Personally, I like spicy so I would opt for something with heat (it raises your metabolism, too.). Just think before you order and ask questions if you need and HAVE FUN !!

Why dont you let yourself just enjoy that day? for 1 day it wont hurt. If im right, you would have to eat 3500 over your tdee to even gain 1 pound, so lets say your tdee is 2000, you would have to eat 5500 in order to gain 1 pound.

Just enjoy your day, then get back to eating healthy the day after.

You didn't lose it in 1 day, you wont put it on in 1 day.

    :)

beef and broccli. stay away from the meat on a stick and pork rice. Go with white or their brown if offered.
