I'm a meteorologist in the Air Force and as you know weather never sleeps so my schedule is always changing! The shop is open 24/7. Makes it super tough to eat well, especially with no access to a stove (only have a fridge and micro) and when I have to switch it up and do 12 hour shifts rather then 9. However I'm trying. Make sure I pack healthy snacks like fruits and premade salads and those little starkist tuna lunch kits. I'm trying to watch my sodium intake and having this schedule is making it hard haha!

I am a nurse, I bring my lunch because our cafeteria serves unhealthy food (no wonder there is an obesity problem). I literally couldn't find a snack under 250 calories down there:( I take leftovers or have a tuna sandwich. We have a rehab/ gym across the street I work out at. It is low key and mostly a geriatric population so I feel like a bad *kitten* when I move the weights from 10lbs to 35lbs lol!

I am in education. Some call it a glorified babysitter, but I say I'm a teacher/coach. In a nutshell...this is what I do:

I am a cook. i start out baking cookies every morning then i make and bake the fresh bread then off to making and baking pizzas, burgers are next and finish up with the hot special of the day which could be something tacoish or mashed taters and gravy. I can tell you how many calories are in what i make and if i choose to eat them that day or not. most days no another gal at work makes me a nice garden salad, no cheese, with some type of meat on it. So i have to plan ahead and try very hard, very hard not to freek out....oh the cookies and pizza.
oh and water i always have water to shove in my face.

I'm a full time middle school band director and a full time mom of 3 kids under the age of 11! I pack a lunch every day but it's the dinner time that gets me. If I'm at school for a concert or something I usually end up eating out, but still try to make good choices. If everyone is home in the evening we usually (try) make good meals, but if we are on the run...well that gets to be a problem! It's got to be something quick. I tend to reach for my multigain cheerios if I can't find anything good in a hurry!

I'm an accountant ~ like many people on here I pack my breakfast and lunch and make dinner at home..... I am up at 3:45 to go to the gym then off to work by 7 and off work by 3:30 and I try to be in bed by 8 p.m. so it leaves me little time so I have to make sure I have everything prepared Sunday night. It works for me and it's worth the payoff I'm getting on this journey!

I'm a paramedic with a second part time job of admin. assistant. So... shift work / desk job .... not a great combination. I've started packing my lunches/dinners and then packing healthy snacks to my office job. (and avoiding the vending machine)
  • Equity research, PhD student and graduate level finance instructor. Not enough free time to exercise like I would like and stress sometimes makes we want to eat more (like today).

I am an assembly line worker in the paint department of a major automotive maker. I am on my feet 8 hrs or more a day walking on grates that kill my legs and feet. I eat my breakfast for lunch cause we eat lunch at 10:30 am which to me is still breakfast. I always pack food that way I don't eat out of the vending machines, our break area is to far away from the cafeterias since we are in a separate building and to far to walk with our 1/2 lunch. Love my job!!
  • IT Support Specialist for a financial firm in Las Vegas. I pack my own lunches and snacks, eat breakfast at home every morning after working out (yoga, cardio, or light strength training) at home; then hit the gym three nights per week.

I'm a photographer. I make myself kick-*kitten* meals and annoy all of my friends with pictures of them. And then I work off those calories by chasing around my toddler clients. It's a sweet deal. :)

I work 12 hr shifts at least 4 days a week. I pack my food for the shifts. Exercise is the challenge for me!

I am my husbands full time Dialysis nurse. He currently is on home Dialysis and I take care of all of it for him. Also as he had seizure in the pool in Jan I am his driver, at least till next week.
  • I'm in medical sales so I spend much of my day on the road, in my car. Or in hotels......I used to be a fast food junkie because I'd be racing from one account to another all day and by about 1pm I'd be SO hungry I'd get McDonalds or a huge Subway sandwich. If found great per-made salads at Trader Joes and bring those now instead. Work definitely makes eating well a challenge but I'm working on it!

    Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine.

I don't work a true over-night shift, but I work just about any 8-9 hours you can dream up between 6a and 2a. Eating around my schedule has always been a challenge, but I've managed to make it work. Mostly.

The hardest part of work is all the cookies, cakes and salty snack food that people bring to share. And, here in one of the largest ERs in the country, when we get busy the admin buys pizza or hoagies for the staff to keep them from taking dinner breaks. <sigh>
