OK....so I have been losing 6 lbs on 1400cals - then started playing with the same two lbs up and down for three months...Upped my cals to 1600 plus exercise cals, and lost two lbs and stayed there constantly for the last month...

I started lifting about 7 weeks ago together with running, (which I have been doing forever) and I can definitely see a difference in measurements - slight still, but enough so I fit back into my summer shorts(which was not the case after Christmas)

I bought the fat2fit radio book and am going to take the plunge and start eating at maintenance for my goal weight - 163lbs...I'm currently 176lbs.....That will push up my daily calories (regardless of exercise) to 2300.... Will still run and lift as usual....
Wish me luck!
Any comments/ experience with eating more will be appreciated....

I'm at the same place. It's been a long time since I've had a significant weight loss. I've increased my calories too and am still weighting for results. I don't think it's been long enough yet to see them, but I'm impatient.

Not too much of a different story here..
I started on MFP March 5, with 1200 calories and lost nothing for 3 weeks.

changed to 1500 or so and still nothing.

Just upped to 1750 a couple of weeks ago and love the energy, healthy feelings and satisfaction. but still no weight loss! Maybe a pound, but it comes and goes. But hey- better than a gain!

I am not giving up. i dont have a lot to lose so I guess this is to be expected in a way. I wouldnt mind SOME fat loss at sometime though....

I heard it takes 4-6 weeks for your body to adjust to the increase in calories so I am staying away from the scale as much as possible and trying to love the process of eating really healthy and plentifully. I am exercising more than I have in a few years and that feels great too.

When I think back to when I have lost weight before, it was usually during a time when I was active ( not necessarily planned exercise though) and eating lots of food ( ie: not caring about calories). I try to remember that to keep me motivated as well.

Feel free to add me as a friend.
