Processed food junkies

I realized today that I am a processed food junkie. I will search and search online for fresh homemade meals, but I just cant cook! I see all of the ingredients I would have to buy, and everytime I try to cook it turns out awful no matter what! I eat alot of Lean Cuisines and Smart Ones meals, which I know have hardly any nutritional values and are loaded with sodium. I can certainly find healthier things to eat, but I am seriously too lazy or just not interested enough to cook. I look at my friends food diarys and I am envious at their food choices. The worse part is, I am teaching my kids the same exact thing. My son gets frozen pizza like 3 nights a week, ramen noodles, canned pastas, its just aweful! But whenever I try to cook, he doesn't want to eat it.

Does anyone else find themselves eating these worthless quick meals on a daily basis?

I'm in the same boat....finding that my sodium level is sky high because of this! I'm a very VERY picky eater so it's hard! Wish I had some answers for you, but know you are not alone!

I've posted this on a different thread in the recipes section but this is a great link

the arthor gives simple instructions for just about any flavor of a boxed meal you would make, great spice mix ideas, too!

Have you tried using a slow cooker? It's really quite easy. Just put your ingredients in in the morning, turn it on and when you get home from work it's done (or mostly done).
