NSV of the Year - A New Car!

NSV of the Year - picked up a new Hyundai Accent tonight! I managed to get decent trade value for our piece of junk and bought the smallest, most economically sensible car purchase I've ever made. This time last year I would have been sooooo uncomfortable and embarrassed to squeeze into such a small car. Besides the great gas mileage, the fact I could comfortably fit into the car definitely influenced our decision.

I did miss 2 workouts and dinner tonight during 2 days of negotiations. No worries….hard core tomorrow night! I don’t want to have to trade this thing in any time soon…..:bigsmile:

P.S. Yes, it's a Hyundai, I know.....think positive! They've come a long way, it's nice, affordable, gets great gas mileage & most importantly - I FIT!

I just bought a car as well golf station wagon. We decided to go from 2 cars to 1 and give it a try, plus will make me walk more. Scared to not have a car at my disposal at all times will be the first time since I got my license oh too long ago.

Yeah! Hyundai's have come a long way and they look really nice. Some look like high end cars... Anyone who says diff is shallow and prolly one of those people who feel they need an overly expensive car to uphold some image that doesn't exist except for in their own minds lol

^^^^^THIS^^^^^ My son recently bought a Hyundai Elantra...I think it is the most beautiful car I've seen in a long while. The interior is great too...the dash looks like an airplane...and it has a nice, smooth, quiet ride. I love it and if I could afford it, I would buy one!

It sure is nice to read all the compliments on our cars. Glad you like them because we are proud of them too. And no, I am not being a smart *kitten*. I work at the Hyundai plant in Montgomery, AL.
And we do have a luxury vehicle that compares to Lexus, Mercedes, BMW etc. It's the Equus. Google it'. It's quite luxurious. :flowerforyou:

lol this is a great NSV! I just read another one involving a car and having to move the seat forward due to a shrinking backside I'm glad you were able to get our new car and feel comfortable in it You're doing very well! Keep it up!

And as for Hyundai, my sister and her hubby own two and LOVE them. Personally, I rented one while on vacation and thought it was great...really solid feeling for a small car. When I bought my last car, I did look at them, but their SUV actually cost more than the similar one I ended up buying so I had to pass, but I DEFINITELY considered them. They have come a LONG way!
