Very new to running and I signed up to do a 5K in July

I have heard a lot of great feedback about the C25K program and am going to start it. Now, it tells you to do it 3 times a week. I wanted to start today, but i'm supposed to get enough rest between days (especially for the beginning) and I do have to note that I also work out 6 times a week doing the Brazil Butt Lift program.

If I were to start today, and only do it twice this week, is that wrong? Should I just start next week instead so I can spread it out better?

I don't know how fit you are or what muscles the Butt Lift program works, but you could try starting today and see how you feel.

I think you should just give it a try. The worst that will happen is that you'll feel tired and sore when exercising. You can ease off at that point.

If I remember correctly, I was sore for the first couple of weeks of C25K and I was doing other sorts of exercise (climbing hills) on my non-running days. I just took some ibuprofen, especially before bed, and it was fine. In a short while, I was adjusted and I don't feel particularly sore any more. :)

The first week is pretty easy, so two days should be fine before moving on. You can always do each "week " for as many days as you want/need to before moving on. Don't stress over calendar week parameters...

Thank you for the advice! I'll definitely give it a try then. Just didn't know if it was a bad thing if i didn't do all 3 days. Again, very new to running. If it were swimming...I wouldn't stress so much.

It's just a guideline program. I repeat weeks frequently to build up my endurance and speed. I've been doing it for 2 to 2.5 months now and am still on week 5.
