Getting There!

Hello everyone,
This is my first ever post (I am pretty new here) but I just wanted to share!
I started working out at the end of February to get healthier and lose weight. I gained about 15 lbs last year, which doesn't sound like a lot, but is on a 5'1" person, and none of my clothes fit anymore, which we all know is a pretty depressing feeling. In the meantime, I also started preparing for my masters exam, and was dejected that my suit pants no longer fit, and neither did any skirts. As a graduate student, I also can't really afford new ones. So the necessity was also a motivating factor! (although not the ultimate goal)
Well, two months later (i.e. this morning) I found that I can actually fit in my pants again! When I first started, I couldn't even get them over my thighs! I am really excited. It's making me more hopeful for passing my exam, which is TOMORROW.
This story is pretty lame I guess, but I feel happy about this one tiny accomplishment

Well done you.... I don't doubt for a minute that you will be as successful with your Masters as you are with losing weight. Keep going and good luck to you.0

Thank you very much! I am pretty nervous for the exam! If I pass, I get to stay on for my PhD (yay!)0

Oh I think your story is far from 'pretty lame' as you say ... it is a record of your triumph and you should be proud of yourself. I hope the extra confidence you have gained helps with your exam. Best of luck ... please post and let us know ;p)0

You set a goal and reached it so that is one heck of an accomplishment. Congrats and good luck on your exam.0 -
