What do you recommend to wear on race day?

I am running my first 10k race on May 6 and then my first Half Marathon on May 12. I run 10ks all the time and just wear capris and a t-shirt, but would anyone recommend dressing better/differently for the half marathon?
I would like to be as comfortable as possible and not to hot as it affects my running. I'm running in the mountains of Canada so there may still be snow on the ground!
Any advice is welcome-Thanks!

For a race where you will have a level of effort that is higher than a normal run, I usually dress like it's 30°F warmer than it really is. As an example, if it's 40°F, I'll wear shorts, t-shirt and gloves (I can't stand to have cold hands).
The most thing is that you don't wear something that you have never run in before. The last thing you want to is to end up with a rub or chafe somewhere.0
