What should I expect on first visit to endocrinologist?

Hello. My primary doc has referred me to see a specialist for my diabetes & hypothyroid as it has not been getting better under her care and she feels I need someone to get deeper in the treatment. Can anyone tell me what to expect on my first visit? They will have all of my recent test results (lipid panel, TSH & A1C) already.
