Shoes

Ok so its become painfully obvious that my old work shoes don't work well on my long walks. I've had blisters on my feet for about two weeks now, one heals and another pops up. All on the pads of my feet (you know, the pad part right under your toes).
So with that being said... can anyone reccomend a good brand/pair of shoes for long walks and a little jogging? Oh, I gotta mention that I'm poor too  so no naming shoes thats $100+. I can't ever imagine spending more than 50 on shoes (I'm not your typical woman haha)
Thanks! :flowerforyou:

I dont know about where you are but here we have footlocker which analyses how you walk and the shape of your feet, and they can tell what sort you need, just tell them your budget and they can usually find the best for price and foot shape. Maybe no help but I thought I'd give it a try!0

I like sketchers. They're not the best workout shoes, but I think they're comfortable, and I walked a 10K in them. They sometimes run as much at 50 but I have seen them on sale for around 25. Check meijer, DSW, and of course sketchers.com.0

i get the 25.00 runners at walmart, they don't last for more than a couple months of good usage, but they're cheep and if you put them on right (don't slide feet in - it ruins the heal on them) then you should be fine for blisters...
I always get blisters where you're mentioning them when i buy name brand shoes... which I find strange0 -
Thanks for the suggestions
I know we used to have Footlockers when I was a kid. Will have to check if they're still around and pop in and get fitted. hehe I have flat feet and always had to wear shoes with high arches when I was a kid and I hated it! :laugh:0 -

I work at a sports medicine clinic and this is a list of shoes one of our docs put together. It is the recommended shoes for active people. Of course not all of those shoes will be good for each person, but it's a start. :-)0 -
