I need some friends to hold me accountable. I am bad about getting started strong and then fizzling out. I have got to get it under control. I am so out of shape I can't enjoy the everyday things I want to do. Anyone want to be a friend? I will try to be supportive in return :)

You sound just like me. What do you think? Can we support each other to really do it this time? If you think so, add me as a friend. I am new too. Just started a week ago.

    Hi-
You can add me as a friend if you like. I'm new here and just started to change my diett and improve fitness.
    Recommendations up front:

-Complete you profile and think really hard about why you want to do this and what you hope to get out of it.
-Make realistic goals for weightloss and fitness routine (you can always change these when you get in the swing).
-No crash dieting even as a kick start. We're no longer young enough for our metabolisms to take it!
-Write EVERYTHING down in your diary and make "foods" you use everyday as well as recipes for easy logging.
-You're not here to impress anyone but yourself-so open your food diary, especially if you want tips and advice.

People here are great and will be very supportive!

I am new to this site and recently at the age of 37 suffered a stroke. My cholesterol was still within normal limits however the specialist would like me to keep track of my fats, etc. I am currently on heavy restrictions as far as exercise. I am kind of depressed as I was a very active Nurse on a very busy unit and this was like someone slammed on the brakes. This site was highly recommended by numerous co-workers and friends and I would welcome any help. Thanks so much.
