First Dat on myfitnesspal

:flowerforyou: I joined yesterday and have invited my daughters.. I need moral support. I am a working woman, 52 years old and I do software support, so I am sitting most of the day.. I have active weekends but no cardio or strength training. And my diet well...apparently I eat mostly all the wrong things.. not a lot.. just not coordinating my foods right. I am a sugar & carb person. I eat good foods, then grab candy and chips when no one is looking.. Like the 4 year old grandkids.. AUGH I am so frustrated that I am not a stronger person. :embarassed:

Welcome to MFP, Nancy! Don't be frustrated or embarrassed - many of us on MFP are in the same boat or have been at one time or another! I think you'll find the support you need here....
  • Hello Nancy!

First, I want to tell you that you ARE a strong person! Doesn't make you weak
If you want "bad" food. You decided to get into shape and join, so that obviously
Means you want a change, right? :-) don't be so hard on yourself. Just take it one day
At a time and everything will fall into place.

It all takes time to re program yourself and your thinking with the choices. We didnt put on weight over night so we cant expect to transform overnight either. I am a 46 year old female from Cali, my name is Monica and feel free to add me if you need support and friends.
