I feel really strange asking people I don't know to be my friends.! But I see that everyone needs support once in a while! I am 40 years old and have been on MFP for about a month now. I had been seeing results in the first 3 weeks since I have been logging my food and exercise, but in the last week I have seen no results :( If this is or has happened to you, please add me as a friend and tell me how you overcame it! Thanks

Hey there! I've been here for 45 days! I'll be 44 next month.. I've only lost 5 pounds so far and could use some encouragement as well :) anyone feel free to add me.. And Welcome!
  • Ill be your friend! I am 38 and have 60 pounds to lose. Ive only lost 5 so far as well.
  • I feel the same way. I am a guy, and i feel a bit intimidated by all the women =D. I have been logging for almost 2 weeks and lost 3lbs so far. It isn't instant gratification, but when i see the scale start to go down slowly i tell myself it's better than nothing at all. By counting your cal intake, and logging your workout's is a big step forward if your like me. I never would have thought of myself to think healthy or watch my weight, but as i get older i am learning i need to care for my body now not later. Whatever your situation is i hope you continue to try and push harder. This past monday i hit 209, and i almost shed a tear because i doubted this entire "counting calorie intake" method of doing things.. It wasn't how much i lost, it was proof that it can be done. Best of luck to you!
