I have my FitBit and MFP syncing with one another, yet, the calories are completely different from each other and I'm not sure which one to believe.

For example, at this moment, these are my results.

>> I am currently set up at FitBit to have a 750 calorie deficit. (1.5 lbs a week) <<

FitBit says I can eat 1069 more calories today.
I am currently at a 282 calorie deficit and need to go eat a small lunch to bring up to the goal zone.

>> I am currently set up at MFP to have a 1000 calorie deficit (2 lbs a week) <<

MFP says I can eat 1028 more calories today.

Usually in the end of the day, even with the 250 calorie daily difference, FitBit will say I am on target or over ate. While MFP always says I came in under my calorie needs.

I have been going up & down 1 lb for the past 11 days. I'm currently the same weight I was on April 14th.

Thanks!

I've been trying to puzzle this one out for a while. This is what I'm starting to think....

    1) With MFP you put in your Goal Calories. From there you eat your workout calories.

    2) With FitBit it's taking total calories burned in the day (including resting calories) then subtracting the calories needed for your weight loss goal.

I also realized, while playing with my goal settings, that even though I was setting it up to lose 2 lbs a week, it was automatically adjusting back to 1.5 or maybe it was 1 lb a week. My guess is due to my current weight (which is close to yours) it felt it was unhealthy for me to cut my calories back that far & so it readjusted on its own.

Which, due to 3 days of feeling completely exhausted, I have readjusted to only lose 1 lb a week on both programs. I felt great the first couple of weeks, but I'm guessing now that I'm building muscle it's just not enough calories.

Cannot wait for the Aria to arrive & then I'll focus more on body fat than weight.
