Hi people! My name is Morgan, I'm 23 and in college. I'm new to MFP but have been on SparkPeople a few times in the past. I've had success with Spark, always losing around 10-15 lbs but the weight has come back and more. I'm changing how I do things this time to prevent this from occurring. I've realized that a lot of my favorite foods are going to be out of my diet forever and from now on my focus is to nourish myself with healing, detoxifying foods and drinks until the day I die! Another part of my plan is to exercise allll the time.

Right now I weigh 170 lbs and am 5'6.5" tall. I don't reaaaally have a goal weight but had to put one into the program, so I put 140 lbs (I think). My actual goal is to optimize my body with the right mix of foods, supplements, and workouts.

I'll be updating my blog and status as much as possible, except I won't be weighing myself for a long time, at least 2 months. For me, seeing a decrease on the scale acts as a sign that I deserve a reward (in the form of junk food) which really just throws my whole plan off.

Can't wait to hear from you!!!

    Hey Morgan,

Welcome to MFP. I'm 23 and in Grad school at the moment...it can be tough! It looks like we both have similar goals and the same height lol. If you need a motivation buddy you are welcome to add me :-) Good luck on your journey!

I've needed to lose weight ever since I had kids... been yo-yo'ing for about 10 years now. I'm a junk food addict and hate exercising. Gotta get rid of about 20 pounds. When I go on diets, I'll lose 5 pounds and gain back about 7. (lol) I really need some help.
