Losing and Training in NC

Hello! I have been using this app on my iPhone for over a month now and decided to start logging in on my PC and hopefully meet some more folks on the same journey. I started running through the C25k program in March 2011 and completed three 5k's in 2011. I started running in an effort to loose weight but then saw the weight loss plateau.
I am back at it again training for an 8k on June 2nd and I thought that counting calories would help as well. I am also insulin resistance so I am working hard to reduce my sugar intake along with carbs. I am hoping to loose about 20 to 25 lbs....over the next six months.
I am looking for some MFP friends!
