great ab workout! by Khrystina the Ninja, on Flickr

Ladies, I bought a "Gold's Gym" pull up bar from Walmart for under twenty bucks. It's easy to install and a great workout! let yourself hang (with a bit up lift) and pull your knees to your chest, side to side, for as many reps as you can go. I like to try and do at least one or two each time I pass it!

hard work leads to good things by Khrystina the Ninja, on Flickr

Also, crunches are boring and often can hurt your back. I found I like to plank, and push my hips towards the floor and back. Great for your whole body! If regular pushups are a struggle for you (like myself) spread your legs wide and try and flatten your body. I'm also a big fan of flutter kicks.

1. Lie on the floor and put your hands under your butt.
2. Prop yourself up on your elbows and look at your toes
3. Hold yourself in this position and flutter your legs up and down. Don't touch the floor with your heels.
4. Feel free to change up your kicks and kick higher and slower. Muscle confusion!
5. Hold yourself in a flat position as long as possible!
6. Feel the burn!

That looks great, agree with straight-up and side-to-side to work all muscles.

Personally, I use Pilates to tone my abs. I did not believe all the claims and stories till I found myself, a few sessions (proper forms, of course) later with a toned waistline. Now working on removing the fat to show those babies :)

I've been wanting a bar for a long time. I might just do that!

My hubby's got one of those.....it's currently sitting in the garage gathering dust from the last time he used it, about 18 months ago!!! lol

I'm gonna get it out, and sit it back on it's little holder's above the kitchen door frame and start using it.

I'd never thought of using that....it's just something I see above above the kitchen doorway and then walk right underneath it!!

    Thanks Ninja
