why is it that the dr., nutritionist, and trainer have different advice, all which makes sense and none can agree?!?!

well most doctors don't specialize in weight loss but that said often times they don't all speak the same language because they have different goals, which often don't coincide with yours. Best to work with a team that works together find a Doctor, nutritionist and trainer that all work for the same program and talk to each other about what you want.0

They are all trained in different topics and work in different contexts. They may well not be working toward the same goal either. Try pulling out the parts that do make sense without contradicting one another and communicate them to each person. So your nutritionist might recommend a certain diet, your trainer might recommend a certain exercise, and your doctor might put you on a certain medicine. Make sure that each one knows what the others are doing so you can get a cohesive plan in place.0

Well, the trainer and the dr. have the closest advice, but the nutritionist thinks there is a 'one size fits all' way to eat.. she doesn't freaking listen when I tell her that it doesn't like my body. she literally chewed me out for eating fruit. I explained to the doc that my carb intake was high, but so was my protein, she tells me 'oh don't worry about it, just aim for 100/100' the trainer tells me, make sure I have enough energy and eat lots of protein.... whatevs... I'm just doing what feels right I guess haha0

Sounds like the nutritionist is a little off. One question, is she a "nutritionist" or a registered dietician? In most parts of the US, UK, and Canada, "nutritionist" is not a regulated title. Someone could hang a sign on the front door of her house and call herself a nutritionist regardless of whether she's had even an hour of training. It's crazy to chew you out for eating fruit; if I were you, I'd take a close look at whether the advice she gave made any sense.0

If someone chewed me out for eating fruit .... I would chew them out for being crazy but that's just me
Sounds like your "nutritionist" is an anti-carb evangelist. My food daily would probably make her pass out just from reading it. Even though I am only aiming to lose 1.5lbs a week, I still lost 2 or more most weeks.
However everyone is different so what I have found works for me may not suit you.
The thing is, the more people you ask, the more opinions you are likely to get about what "works" as a way to lose weight.
In your position, I would try what the doctor say for a bit (as long as they understand your goal is weightloss), then try what the trainer recommends. All the time watch your body, measure yourself, log everything you eat and learn what works for you. The more you do it, the easier it becomes. It takes time, observation and patience. Be the tortoise, not the hare
When I started out I was doing about 50/50 carbs and protein. Now I do about 40/60 because I need the increased protein to stay fuller for longer and to burn when I do 3 exercise sessions in a day. I changed it around when I realised my tummy was rumbling 2 hours after breakfastI was able to do this because I was used to watching my body and realised my needs had changed. You'll get there too, just stick with it.
