exercises with a broken leg, hand, and head!

My boyfriend has gained a ton of weight in the last two years. He can't find any exercises that are comfortable for him. His left leg is broken, his right hand is broken, and even the lightest pressure to his head gives him really bad headaches due to metal he has filling a hole in his skull!
Both of us are pretty much new to working out. Does anyone have any suggestions he could try?

With his injuries, I wouldn't think he should start exercising without consulting a doctor first -- and the doctor will be able to give you ideas as to what kind of low-impact exercises he can do.

My best guess would be swimming as well, although I'm not sure how well that'd work with his leg.

Why doesn't he wait until he's healed a bit before starting to exercise? Start with changing your diets and then add in exercises (at least for him) in a few weeks/months?

^ maybe a lower calorie diet is the key ??
Best of luck with this and with his recovery.

A stroll to the doctor, because that's a lot of things to work around.

0.o wtf kind of break happened to his leg? I've always heard broken legs heal in months, not years.

    Like, are they still casted?
  • Permanently broken or something that is healing??
A trip to the Doctor for advice is something that I would recommend you start with.

I mean they're both healed, but not in the right... way? I guess? :ohwell: I don't know how to describe it! Hopefully you know what I mean!
  • Then he should see a physiotherapist for advice on how to get started on an exercise program. He might end up starting with band exercises rather than full on weights.
