Fat Logic

I used to use something that I like to call now as 'fat logic'. It's the only way I'd be able to explain the thoughts I'd have in the past. I believe a huge part to my 'half-way mark' success boils down to segregating who I once was with the person I want to be. The person I used to be was Fat Collin. The person I am now is Fit Collin.
I'd like to introduce to you some Fat Logic that Fat Collin would always use to justify his lifestyle. I shake my head now, but at the end his lifestyle was destructive. For example:
"If I were stuck in the Arctic, my fat would let me live longer than anyone else!"
Uhh... when did Fat Collin intend on tripping to - and then ultimately getting in a situation to be stuck in - the Arctic??
He justified living in a normal environment by projecting himself into a hostile one. Which was mental. You only need to adapt to where you are.
"Just because I'm fat, doesn't make me a bad person"
Look, this one is true - your weight/appearance doesn't make you who you are. But the danger behind this mentality is that Fat Collin would use this truth to justify an unhealthy lifestyle. In and of itself, being happy with who you are is perfectly fine. The issue is when you are NOT happy with who you are and are CONVINCING yourself you're fine that you need to wake up.
"I have to eat dessert because it's unhealthy to skip a meal"
Seriously. This guy would say things like this. I mean... he wasn't even thinking about the nutrition, or quantity... Fat Collin was just thinking about eating. I don't need to explain why that was wrong.
I said Goodbye to Fat Collin 6 months ago. He still visits every once in a while, but I think it's best that I don't let him influence my lifestyle any more. There was just no control in his life. And that will one day be the end of him. Not me.
Thanks for reading.

Heheh, this is cute. Fat Collin is silly. Though. I'll admit, occasionally I look at someone who is very very very slim and think about how after the apocalypse they wont be able to avoid the food riots because they'll be so hungry. As I get slimmer, I intend to stockpile food just in case.0

That's funny! I think it'd be dangerous for Fat Collin to get all up in the mix over the food riots... nothing would last and 'stockpiling' is a foreign concept to him.
But thanks for sharing!0 -

Hi Fit Collin. Nice to meet you0

I started running in order to survive an alien invasion I didn't want to be killed off within the first five minutes of the film (because heck yeah they would eventually make a movie about it). I at least wanted to see someone sneeze on an alien or be a part of the resistance.
"I ran for ten minutes earlier, so I can definitely have this big slice of cake" <-- back when I didn't know how much hard work it takes to burn a pound of fat0 -
Fat Collin paid me a visit today, he brought chocolate and his own special brand of logic with him0
