How to log exercise calories over a week?

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help? I have only just started using myfitnesspal after using Weight Watchers tracker for some time. With Weight Watcher you add your activity point and they add up over the week. So you can use a few a day or save more for the weekend or for a night out for example.

I cannot see anywhere on my fitnesspal where the exercise calories add up. What do other people do? Do you keep a separate log of these somewhere? If for example I go for a run and earn myself 700 calories on a Monday, I may not want to use them on that day and save them for the weekend.

I'm not sure if there is a function for that, it's mainly daily here. The exercise that you'll do for Monday will simply add on to your calories for that day.

On the iPhone App there is a weekly calorie tracker and I use that to see how well I've done over the week - that's what I usually do.

I'd say simply stick to knowing how well you've done over the week, a lot of people on here have a "cheat day" where they go over their calories and most of the time I'd say those calories would have been made "available" by having 6 good days e.g. being 200 cals under your goal each day, for 6 days, will give you an additional 1200 cals for the 7th day.

Thanks for the reply. I think this site and the iPhone app would really benefit from being able to track your exercise calories over the week. Thats one thing that is good about the Weight Watchers app, (among many frustrations!) i.e. the calories add up as you exercise, then if you go over your daily allowance it takes it off the exercise calories that are 'banked' if you like. If you haven't used them by the end of your week, they go to 0 and you start again.

Just because I exercise on a particular day doesn't mean I'll necessarily want to use those calories earned on that day. But I would like to use them at the weekend.
