Hi I am a 49yr old male who has lost approx 65lbs over the last year I am now 222lbs and am aiming at 205/210lbs(I am 5.11 and naturally big build). My question is I have had my weight loss set at 2lbs a week and have read in numerous threads that it is better to reduce this figure as you get closer to goal so what do I set it as? 1lb 1.5 lb. I am also going to start the 30 day shred on May 1st do I eat at a deficit while doing it or not.

How much more do you want to lose?
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal0 -
pal , i would stay as u are for the shred . at 2lb a week your still 5 weeks away from target .
just make sure your getting right amount protein in during shred because the body will need more to feed the muscle .throw a shake into you after work out,
good luck with shred:explode: :explode: :explode:0
