I want to be a super hero!

My friend is having a super hero themed party in a month, and I want to go as Black Canary. This means that I will be wearing fishnets and a leotard (I know, it's going to be ridiculous and probably embarrassing). My big problem is my thighs. Even when I was at my lightest and working out a lot, I still had trouble with my flabby thighs. My entire family is known for having big hips and big thighs, and I have been horseback riding since I was ten, so these things have been working against me in having the streamlined, toned thighs I want.
Does anyone know any fat-blasting techniques and exercises that I can do to target my flabby thighs? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

If you can think of any exercises that will simultaneously help me tone up my rear-end, that would be great too0

You can't spot reduce fat. Squats and some body acceptance (you said yourself you're genetically predisposed to bigger thighs and hips) would do you some good.0

Black Canary has powerful thighs. Also, as nopedotjpeg mentioned, one cannot spot reduce.0

I'm already a superhero.0

All I care about is if you're dressing up as Black Canary there damn well better be pics posted!
Love fishnets...
Seriously though do some squats and know that you're already a super hero, then go out and have a blast!0 -
I guess I can just pretend that my "big" thighs are muscle =]0

um - not the answer you wanted, but if you feel self conscious about your thighs then wear tights under the fishnets, if that makes any sense. i find i like a bit of fun color, but if that is too loud or doesn't work w/ the overall look of your costume, even a slightly contrasting grey could work.
just a thought! :flowerforyou:
have fun - sounds like a great party!0 -
Sure you don't wanna try Poison Ivy with all that red hair?0

The hostess already claimed Poison Ivy =/0 -
I'm already a Superhero. I am Supertired.
And you can't spot reduce. But as previously mentioned, the good news is Black Canary has large powerful thighs.0 -

I have one picture where someone said it reminded them of Wonder Woman, but I am not a superhero quite yet0 -

Actually, that's precisely what I love about female super heroes! They've always got lovely powerhouse thighs.
They make having large thighs and hips look great, which is wonderful for me considering mine are huge, as well as my booty.
Squats, lunges, Romanian deadlifts & stairmaster - no holding on though!0 -
squats helped me a lot, in a month i lost 3 inches off my thighs also while doing a crap ton of cardio too though0

Thick thighs for that costume work well. And fishnets disguise A LOT. No spot reductions, but to firm up, do some squats. Seriously though, love your thighs.0

I dunno about killing and lifting Romanian people, I'm not really OK with that, but the rest is good. It's OK to hold on to the stairmaster, because calories lost by not freehanding it will be made up by not breaking yourself by falling off the thing and ending up in the hospital for weeks.0 -

Hahaha, I GUESS you have a point.0
