Breakups are hard in general I think, I am one of those people who takes them pretty hard. I have trouble sleeping and no appetite. What do you do to get through the hard times that first week when nothing sounds good but laying in bed moping?

  • This is probably not very good of me.
But when I would go through a break up, or now if I have a serious fight with my husband, I go out and buy a few things lol.
Like to fill the void. I dont like go crazy, but i just get a few things that i have been wanting. Like maybe a new outfit, or some new makeup, or even some new workout gear.
It normally helps lol. And plus it gets you out of the house and helps you forget.

I don't really have great advice as I find breaking up to be easy and--can I say this--kind of an endorphin rush.

Really the best advice I can give you is that you're a human and your time on earth is limited. So laying in bed moping is a terrible way to waste the precious little time you have as a finite being.

Well in my experience, my first and only breakup happened 9 months ago... It was hard but I got through it by running everyday. I lost around 25 pounds after my breakup... That's how managed to get through it.

I think I staying busy and focusing on my happiness had helped me get through it. There were difficult times and even now after 9 months, I feel I still didn't deserve what I got but I'm happy now and thats all that matter

My husband has been the first guy I ever dated so I never been through it but if he upsets me I take a nice walk outside which normally helps. Don't think about what should've been, think about now and concentrate on you.

I'm not in to chicks but thanks :) I struggle to work out because I struggle to eat enough for the energy I will require. But I will keep working on it. Thank you for the responses. They are helping.
