Animal pump was srsly b|tchin. Gave me a really nice pump. You can take out the little red stim cap if you dont want the caffeine or just take half.
  • Dude, go buy some pure Creatine Monohydrate from Optimum Nutrition....the one where the only ingredient is "Creatine Monohydrate." Been taking it everyday.

I also take Cellucor C4 but just for the slight energy boost. Nitric Oxide does nothing to get you stronger, all it does is give you a pump while working out. When it runs out I'll probably just buy some caffeine pills.

Dont take jack3d, it has a chemical in it called 1,3-Dimethylamylamine which is like freakin meth! Not good for you!

when i started working out i took 5 hour energy shots and these did the trick for my goals at the time.
when i decided to add lifting i started taking Ravage by GNC. It felt amazing to me. much different than 5 hour energy. not just a boost...probably the beta alining in it. When I ran out, I decided to try Jack3d. I don't think it does anything...at least not for me. I am going back to Ravage when i run out.
another thing I've been taking for about 2 weeks now is creatine. its not something you "feel", but its supposed to help you get an extra 1 or 2 reps in there. i DO feel like that is working.
Post workout is the protein shakes for me.

Hey mate I would highly recommend getting some Mesomorph! Jack3d is BLEH compared to mesomorph :)

    I love the tstuff

Okay a lot of people see it as a "buzz" but it goes beyond that for someone who is trying to build muscle

For example I take mesomorph, I was on jacked but they have caffeine and I found Mesomorph a much better rounded option for muscle building.

These are the ingredients and what they do

    Citruline Malate :
Although citrulline is not coded for by DNA directly, several proteins are known to contain citrulline as a result of a posttranslational modification. These citrulline residues are generated by a family of enzymes called peptidylarginine deiminases (PADs), which convert arginine into citrulline in a process called citrullination or deimination. Proteins that normally contain citrulline residues include myelin basic protein (MBP), filaggrin, and several histone proteins, whereas other proteins, such as fibrin and vimentin are susceptible to citrullination during cell death and tissue inflammation.

    Beta-Alanine;
A useful endurance tool, beta-alanine is commonly consumed in supplement form by athletes and strength trainers. During exercise hydrogen ions are produced in the body, which causes the pH levels in the muscles to drop. When this happens the body will experience a slowing of movement, physical strength and intensity. This prevents the ability to push to the limit during training and achieve optimum results

    DiCreatine Malate:
There is so much we can get into on creatine, but effectively it is stored within the muscle tissue

Thats just a few things.... Pre-Supps are more than just some extra energy... They help with muscle growth

Mesomorph is the only pre-sup I've used and so far loving it! Taking a dose, waiting for the tingle as you watch the clock counting down til lift time xD

How long does the effect last?

i have beta-alanine capsules on order.. from a medical stand point and the research I did, the product seems promising for what it is supposed to do.

As for the mesomorph, I think that sensation you are describing is from the beta-alanine in it!

depends...ive had it last an hour or so...you feel it as you are more active..but your body builds a tolerance to it and eventually you lose that sensation. i don't get it as intense as i used to.

    the dope.
    lol...
  • Okay, I worked at GNC for a while, and had many ppl with many opinions. This is what I took away from it. Some ppl respond to creatine and preworkout stuff with that and caffeine and and N.O. explode, etc. Some came back pissed they wasted money. I would't spend gobs of money on any of it, but give it a go. Only way to see if u respond to it. I got uber itchy (ya, that sounds nasty, but true!) when I used some of those products and it didn't help me.
But anything with caffeine is bound to make u more energized,so ya......

I absolutely LOVE Craze (Great for long lasting energy and HIIT), F=MA (Gives energy in bursts great for muscle pumps) or hydroxycut hardcore (Hydroxycut is more for fat burn than a pre workout but it still gives you energy). They are great if you have had a big day at work and have no energy for the gym and you get great energy and I can go forever when I have my pre workouts. They are great if you want to increase your fitness level or beat a personal best goal! But they can be addictive so dont have them everyday or if you are caffeine sensitive. Caffeine amounts in them vary from supplement to supplement and some have creatine etc. People probably dont think they work because they might have a high caffeine tolerance or they use a product and get a tolerance to it. My boyfriend and I change pre workouts when we finish the container.

I've tried a few. Jack3d, Superpump 250, White Flood, NO-Xplode and they all were ok.

However, I tried this stuff once, and I wanted to throw chairs.

I don't take any of them anymore cause I think they are a waste of money. You would do fine with a nice cup of coffee before your training bro.

    GREAT ADVICE ^^^^^^^^^

I found this article a while ago. It talks about myths about the post-workout meals, but point 2 in there talks about pre-workout. They recommend very fast acting proteins right before the workout. They link a study on that too, and the subjects in the study used pure amino acids and sucrose pre-workout. That's pretty expensive, but this is a site about competition body building so, you might not need to go that far...

But yeah, it seems like pre-workout supplementation is back up by more than broscience :)
  • Havent been able to find too much info on this Mesomorph product stuff. Can someone enlighten me?

I'm a little frightened now. A lot of this stuff reminds me of speed. So I'll take the same stance. i.e., "Sounds awesome. I better avoid it".
