Stretching Exercises to relieve Shin Splints

Hello. I have developed shin splints in the last couple of months. At times they become so bad that in the middle of a walk I can barely pick up my leg(s). I ice and take Ibuprofen, but the splints are caused from pressure fractures which need time to heal (like 3-6 months). I love to walk, but hate the splints. They don't happen every time and I can go a few days between. I was wondering is anyone else has dealt with splints and what stretching exercises they might do to help. And suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

3 exercises are: 2 dynamic and 1 static stretch
1. Walk for 30 feet on your tiptoes taking small steps
2. Walk on your heels for 30 feet taking small steps.
3. Stretch where you put your knee against a wall and stay for 30 seconds. Switch and do the same with other leg for 30 seconds. You should feel it in your calves.0 -
