Hi All,
So is there anyone out there that struggles with eating at night ? i do i have been eating at night for so long now that it is just so hard to break this habit. i mean ever since i had my daughter 3 1/2 years ago i only ate one meal a day and that was supper. someone once asked me how i could forget to eat but i just do. i know it is bad for my metabolisim but there are just days that i simply forget to eat. then when supper time comes im so hungry that i binge it has gotten worse since i had my second little girl 1 1/2 ago. cause now i have 2 very very active little girls who take up a lot of my time. i know some people thing well you feed your kids breakfast lunch and supper plus snacks why dont you eat with them, and my honest answer is that my thought is ok their sitting and eating now i can get my bathroom cleaned or now i can dust or ok lets do some dishes while they are eating. so then i just put off eating.
im so frustrated with myself cause i look at my food diary and see how much i eat at night time and it makes me sick i feel like if i dont some how change these habits i will never loose weight.
now since i have been on MFP it has gotten better i have been eating my 3 meals a day but now that i am doing that i feel more hungry and i want to eat more and more and and even though i am starting to make more health conscience desisions i just cant help but feel hungry all the time
am i alone in this ? and does anyone have any advise for me ?

You need to do whatever you need to do in order to get you meals in at the right times. You your kids breakfast, you should sit down and eat with them. That's not only good for you, but it's good for them, you are teaching them the importance of sitting, being mindful of eating, having a conversation, time at the table as a family, etc. I am a SAHM as well, and I have to FORCE myself to sit with the kids at breakfast and lunch (we homeschool, so I have them home all day). When the kids are sitting and eating, I am sitting with them and eating as well. **IT's MORE THAN EATING WITH YOUR KIDS. That time is VITAL.**
You can clean when they nap, you can clean in the morning before breakfast, in the afternoon, at night when they go to bed... any other time but meal time!!0 -
Can you save some of your calories for an additional small meal at night?
I support eating breakfast because I tend to binge otherwise, but I don't limit myself to only eating three times a day. I eat snacks in between, just because that works better for me. And if it works better for you to have something in the evening as opposed to eating three regular meals, I don't see any reason why you can't?
My husband is a diabetic who's on this journey with me and he HAS to eat something in the evening to keep his blood sugar stable so it doesn't drop by morning. That's what works best for him.
You need to do what works best for you. Hang in there!0
