Girl with medical problems. Advice please! :)

Hi my name is Sarah and I participate in a competitive drumline during the winter season. Being in this program helped keep my weight down during the winter but caused me to develop an inflammatory disease called Costo Chondritis.
What happens is the cartilage in the bones between my chest plates inflames and causes great pain. I don't want this to stop me from doing exercises such as push ups, sit ups, etc. now that the season is over!
Is there any cardio that doesn't stress chest plates?
Thank you!

I have medical issues as well and I do the exercises but I do them very slowly and listen to my body. If it hurts stop! Pushing thru the pain when you have inflamed tissue, muscles, and ligaments only sets you up for more pain. The more I workout the more I am able to do! So my advice is to take it very very slow and listen to your body! Have you tried the elliptical or the treadmill? That's where I started and then added in other stuff as I felt my body could take it. Good luck!

I have noticed that treadmills work and ellipticals are my personal favorite! Thanks for the advice!

That sounds awful. I'd stick to elliptical only too!
