I've been wearing a HRM for a few years now whenever I exercise. I love that thing.

Maybe it's just me or wishful thinking, BUT I seem to notice that I burn more calories in the morning than in the afternoon for a nearly identical exercise.

I have taken many 50-minute 7am spin classes and many 50-minute 6pm spin class. The spin routines aren't identical from one class to another, I know. The instructors are different from day to day, too.

I *easily* burn 600+ calories in every single morning class but struggle to burn 500 calories in my evening classes. My theory is that I expend more energy moving my sleepy body in the morning than I expend moving my "warmed up" body in the afternoon.

Anyone else notice this?
