5 Day Split Workout

I have been working out and trying to lose weight for about 3 months doing the same things at the gym 4-5 days a week with no real results.

My Brother suggested a 5 Day Split that splits up my Cardio and Strength exercises

Example Day One Cardio/Biceps/Triceps
Cardio- Treadmill , Run2, Walk2, Run2, Walk 2, Run 2
Weight Set
Weight Set
Cardio,- Elliptical- 10 Mins
Weight Set
Weight Set
Cardio- Run5 , Walk 1, Run 5

Do you think this type of workout ,will give me more weight loss because its splitting my cardio and more weights ?
