Any PhD students out there?

Sorry for this random post but I'm going a bit mental.. I've got my PhD viva in just under a week and just finished studying for the first day (I have studied for it for the past few weeks but not a lot as I was working full time, now I've got a week off to focus just on the viva). Basically I'm ****ting myself.. And eating way too much cheese on toast and other such naughties. I managed to finally lose some weight in the past month or so and I'm worried that I'll just erase that progress in the following week (and afterwards, hopefully due to celebrating and not commiserating...). I know that preparing for my viva is the most important thing right now and if I need cookies or cheese to get me through long days of cramming then that's probably not a big deal, but I really really really don't want to undo the weight loss so far... I've been so pleased with myself lately for sticking to my calorie goal and walking loads and finally seeing some results - I don't want to loose that feeling.

Anyway, rant over. I wonder, is anyone else in a similar situation? Where studying overrides healthy eating/exercise? Or am I just making excuses for myself?

On the other hand, I just weighed my thesis (I did say I was going mental, didn't I?) and it weighs 3.5lbs - maybe once I've got that weight off my shoulders getting slimmer and healthier will be easier to accomplish?
