Cramps

I've been doing a mix of power walking and jogging for the past few weeks or so. I try to jog for a little but, but I seem to get a bad cramp in the same spot all the time. I get it under my bottom rib on my right side. I usually pinch the skin hard and that seems to relieve the pain a bit, but it's kind of impractical. I've been doing my best to breathe in deeply and through the nose and out the mouth but it doesn't seem to help much. I wonder if my body will ever get used to jogging or if there is a better way of breathing I should try?

Thanks!

Sometimes muscle cramps happen because of a lack of hydration.. so make sure you drink plenty a while before you run (so you don't ache from the water) as well as afterwards.. !

stretching can also play a role so try a few stretches before you jog,. make sure your muscles are warmed up ..

Sounds like you're not breathing properly. Breathe slowly and steadily, in through your nose, out through your mouth.
