why does it take longer for a mile on elliptical vs walk/ jogging outdoors? I do a 20 min mile on my elliptical vs my 14 min mile brisk walk?

I would think it's because when you are power walking your feet travel faster than when on the elliptical. The motion of your feet on the elliptical are making a full circle around. You don't walk like that. I could be wrong, but it sounds like a good explanation. :-)0

lol thanks! looks like not many people wanted to try this question...when I googled it it was basically because of the added resistance....took me awhile to find a reputable answer though!0
