Weight in the middle

Hello all of my MFP'ers.... I have a question for you. I have been told for years that to lose weight in my mid section ( I carry most of my weight between my boobs n my booty) to do cardio... well I have been walking until my heart is content, elliptical machines, even started doing the run/walk combo's on the treadmill and I am doing great, losing weight and shaping up, but the weight in my mid section is NOT moving at all.. so I pose this question, what should I do because obviously the do as much cardio as you can tolerate answer is not accurate and since that is my biggest problem area that is my biggest obstacle. NOW, please do not tell me I can not spot reduce, I already know that. I know I need to work on my body as a whole and from the inside out. But this issue is of great concern, causes me to be extremely self conscious and honestly makes me feel less confidant than I should be. Thanks everyone :)
