Generally speaking, how many pounds equals a dress size? I realize it is different for each person but I'd like to be able to set a rough goal.

There isn't really a way to answer that question. It depends not only on weight, but height, body composition (a person with a high muscle:fat ratio will likely wear a smaller size than someone with a high fat:muscle ratio), and the endless variety of individuals based simply on genetics (some people have big butts, others have long arms, others have short legs, etc.). Besides that, every clothing type and label have their own sizing methods.0

I have lost 8kg which is what? 17lb or so, and I am bleak that I haven't dropped a dress size. Clothes are looser but still same size. Guess they were extremely tight or something0
