Here's my non-scale-victory:

I just ran 2 miles today in one go. First time I've run that far since I was 17 (11 years ago).

Slightly hilly, sidewalk. I did the 1st mile totally without any walking in 7 minutes. 2 miles total in 18 minutes. And I feel like I can go for another mile as soon as I get some water...

Congratulations! A seven minute mile is awesome! :drinker:

Take care that you don't push too hard at first. I'd advise running a little slower and gradually building up the distance before you try for speed.

    thats great, well done
  • I started 2 weeks ago, and have been pushing myself to go just a little bit farther each time, a little bit faster, to finish a mile and a half. I figured I should push myself to see if I can do 2 miles. And I did.

I know it's only 7% of a marathon, but I think when I have more time I'm going to see if I can train to do one. Or maybe just a 1/2 marathon....
