I fell in love with yoga today! I've been mainly walking up until now because it's really the only exercise I can stand...but today I did yoga in a local park...there is a free class Monday afternoon and Saturday morning and it was awesome!

Afterward, I walked a half an hour to this place that specializes in tart frozen yogurt at 80 calories and no fat per serving!

Days like today make diet and exercise fun!

If you're in the Pittsburgh area and want information on the yoga or yogurt, let me know!

I'm in LA but I love yoga too (as well as yogurt). If you look around you should be able to find a yoga instructor that will help you figure out how to modify what ever the class is doing for your level. The class I go to the teacher is really good at spotting the rookies and helping them figure out how to do all the moves at the rookie level while the rest of us who have been doing it for a few years take it to our level.

Yoga's not supposed to be competitive but as 45 is rapidly approaching (like in July), I get a kick out of seeing the 20 year old, gumby, pixies that don't have the muscle strength I do. They can bend into pretzels but I can hold those poses longer. It's sweet!

My wife took yoga for college PE elective. I encouraged her to stick with it and the easiest way to do that was for me to take it up as well.

At the north side of 45, I think it will be a while before (if ever) I can bend into a pretzel - :noway: - but I'll keep trying.
  • Good luck to both of you! Happy birthday, Keppik! Mine's in July as well
