Sydney people, please help me with sport clubs!

Heya guys,

Main point to this post: I am after a team sport to join that doesn't cost to much and is located close to central or eastern illawarra train line (I am based in the shire) and what other team sports do you guys suggest other then the ones mentioned below? Can I join them even though the season has already started?

I am a uni student in Sydney and have not been playing sport because of my studies. I got to play in a netball competition organised by IGEA today and loved every minute of it (I'm traditionally a karate and hockey girl). I was wondering about how to find out if I can join a team somewhere in sydney.

I am based in the shire, but my college I attend is near central, and I can stay around there till late. I was hoping for some suggestions.

Other than netball, I would also join hockey if you know about good clubs. (I'm 22 btw).

I don't want to have to travel too far to get to games and training.

bump... I know this is a specific one. Anyone from sydney do any sports they would suggest? That might be an easier question.
